If you have your name as your business brand, how would you feel if someone uses it without asking your permission? What if some other guy you have no idea who he or she is uses your photos to support the business he or she is running? I don’t know about you, but I would get very mad if it happens to me.
This situation now happens to one of the very popular online marketers, Jeremy Schoemaker, who runs his personal blog on shoemoney.com. You can see which photo that the scammer uses to promote his or her business called Google Money Tree system. From this stealing alone each of us knows instantly that the business is completely a trash for sure. Jeremy is taking a legal action against whoever the guy is, which is supported by most of the commentators.
I myself is in the same line with Jeremy’s response to the stealing. It’s been a long time scammers have taken advantage of the internet to get money in any way that is possible. They don’t care if what they do cause suffer to other people. However, I have no idea of an effective method to prevent those scam things. It would even be difficult to track most of the persons who are behind the scams. Nonetheless, an action should be taken to fight against the crime and lawsuit is the right way to go even though it could spend most of our time. This probably won’t stop other scammers from doing their scam stuff, but at least they will think twice if they want to use your photo to market their stuff.
